Patch-TEA app installation
Confirm that your phone/tablet has a supported version of Android (12.0 or higher): open Settings, tap About phone or About tablet, and tap Software Information or Android Version
Allow installing a third-party app on the phone/tablet: open Settings, go to Search bar and type in Unknown, tap Install unknown apps, find a browser (such as Chrome), tap on it and turn on the toggle next to Allow from this source
Download Patch-TEA app: open a browser (such as Chrome) on the phone/tablet, go to https://www.transtimulation.com/products and under the Patch-TEA Android app, tap Download .apk file. You may see a pop-up warning you that this file may harm your device. Tap Download anyway to continue with the download.
You’ll see the download progress on the top bar or at the bottom. Otherwise, in the browser, go to Downloads and find the downloaded PATCH-TEA2.0.apk file.
Tap Install to begin the installation. You may see a pop-up warning Blocked by Play Protect. Tap Install anyway to continue with the installation. Once the installation is complete, you can click Open to run the app. Alternatively, you can find PATCH-TEA2.0 app among the installed apps and tap the icon to open it. When opening the app for the first time, you may be taken to a screen All files access, where you need to turn on the toggle next to Allow access to manage all files, then click on the Left arrow at the top left to continue. Then, you may get a series of pop-up windows asking to allow PATCH-TEA2.0 to use variuos phone functions: to take pictures and record video, access the device location, access photos and media, please tap Allow for all these requests.
